Muscle Cars Coming Back Despite Gas Prices

With the growth of the hybrid market due to the recent gas price hikes, it's amazing that so many people are still interested in sports cars. The smaller, sleaker ones are starting to get a ton of play on the market, but the "muscle cars" of the past aren't losing any ground as would probably be expected.

The Ford Mustang is one that is still doing very well in sales. Ask people at Ford Orange County in Southern California. The Mustang is still one of the best sellers in the segment and in sunny California, the tops are down on many of them. Even Roush Mustang Dealers are seeing no drop in traffic or sales.

Across the way in General Motors Land, dealers like Detroit Chevrolet dealers are seeing a ton of interest in the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro. The higher end market isn't suffering either with tremendous sales coming from San Diego Corvette Dealers, one of the largest Corvette dealers in the country.

Even Miami Dodge is seeing excellent sales on their Chargers.

The demise of the muscle car due to increased gas prices is definitely overstated.
